The pandemic forced staffs to say goodbye to planned spring coverage. Now, say hello to coronavirus pages created for you.
For weeks, we’ve talked about blank pages, with suggestions for coronavirus coverage and filler ideas. But we also created spreads to help you with some of that open content.
In case you missed our earlier announcement, we want to remind you we’ve created more than 20 pages, including an 8-page supplement on the historic pandemic and bonus templates.
The Balfour team created a digital current event section to help staffs fill pages while covering this historic pandemic. Matching the design of the 2020 YearZine current events insert, the supplement includes eight pages of coronavirus-related coverage. Each page focuses on a different aspect of life affected: schools, business, entertainment, sports, the country and the globe.
In addition to the supplement, we’ve also created individual spreads for use. This includes two overall layouts and a single page, providing a general overview of the pandemic. It also has some more light-hearted topics, with spreads on the new lexicon, virus essentials and hand-washing.
