It’s a joy when the yearbook comes out. And then you begin working on the next one. Before you move on, capture the magic with a permanent display in your room.
Yearbook staffs come and go. Capture the memory of the year by showcasing the book, theme and students. Here’s how five schools have done it:
The Woodlands High School Every cover is framed and hung on the wall in order (see top photo as well).
Shawnee Mission South High School Also framing the sample covers, the Heritage staff add a background staffers sign.
Holy Trinity Episcopal School The Tigrium staff paints a ceiling tile for each yearbook, connecting to that year’s theme. The editors add their names.
Marian High School A tradition for more than a decade, Marian paints the theme for the yearbook and newspaper each year. Originally drawn on the classroom walls, they’ve now moved to canvases. Each yearbook canvas illustrates the look of that year’s book, and all staffers sign the canvas.
Prescott High School Originally painted on canvas, the Hassayamper staff now prints an enlarged color rendition of the cover. All staffers sign the wall art.
