Great photography is crucial to a fantastic yearbook. No matter where you are in the production process, photo skills need to continue to be improved and reinforced. There are also numerous school events that provide visually interesting photo opportunities.
Even students who don’t consider themselves “photographers” need to learn the basic elements of photography and how to recognize a great shot.
If you are looking for a way to reinforce photo skills, get involved in Balfour’s Great Shot Photo Contest.
It is easy to enter and can be used as a completion grade for your students. Besides getting them thinking about photography and taking great photos for your publication, they can win up to $500 (photos taken by advisers can be entered, too).
