The holiday season is a time for warmth and giving, a time to place the needs, wants and wishes of others before our own. Annie Green, the adviser at Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish, Washington, shares the staff’s and the school’s giving traditions:

“As our gift to the students, the staff takes photos with Santa during lunch. We make inexpensive prints and give them away to anyone who wants a fun gift for their mom/girlfriend/boyfriend, or whomever.

“As a fun gift exchange for our yearbook family, we decided to draw names and exchange mugs. We bought a Keurig coffee maker and created a place to store the mugs in our classroom.”
