Congratulations to Leander High School’s McKenzie Henningsen for being one of the 2020 Story of the Year finalists from the National Scholastic Press Association.
NSPA recently announced 10 finalists in five categories: news, feature, sports, editorial and opinion. Henningsen is a finalist for her feature story about a teacher creating a non-profit inclusive daycare.
The winners will be announced during an awards ceremony for the JEA/NSPA Fall National High School Journalism Convention, presented virtually 1 p.m. CST, Saturday, Nov. 21.
