The title page is one of two single pages in the yearbook: page one and the last page. It follows the front endsheet and must convey essential information about the school and the year. It also needs to support the theme both visually and verbally. Theme graphics, introduced on the cover and front endsheets, need to be repeated in some way on the title page.
The title page picture is one of the most important photos in the book. It’s your first opportunity to capture the theme visually. Don’t forget a caption.
Title pages from Cedar Park High School, Foster High School and Rocky Heights Middle School all feature the year’s chosen fonts, colors and graphic looks.
The title page should also include the following:
- Year of publication
- Theme statement
- Yearbook name
- Volume number
- School name
- Complete address (street, city, state, zip)
- School telephone number
- School fax number
- Web address, social media accounts
- Enrollment
- Athletic conference and division
A title page is part of the history of the school and year and a necessary reference tool.
